There have been many changes over the years, however, our philosophy remains the same; “Offer the customer the very best product, competitive prices and superior service. Most
importantly, stand behind everything you sell!”
In 1946, "Cec" Ennis and his brother-in-law Bill Petersen began selling furniture in Boise at
the corner of 23rd and Fairview. The Ennis Drexel Heritage showroom still occupies the partner's
original building, a converted 1910 livery stable, where Dick Ennis (son and nephew of the original founders) continues the family business.
In 1962 the store was remodeled. Now, in Boise, there are four different showrooms - the
original (Drexel Heritage/Lexington Showroom) at
23rd & Fairview, the Bernhardt/Stickley/Henredon Showroom across the street, the Patio Shop/Ennis Express on the north side of
Fairview, and on the south side our new Design Center. In 2005, Ennis opened a Thomasville
store in Meridian and in 2007, a Thomasville store in Spokane, Washington.
Today, Ennis stores can also be found in Reno, Nevada, and in Richland and Spokane,
Washington. Three generations later, all six Ennis children carry on the family tradition and
philosophy. |
